About this vintage design furniture
Vintage Marcel model 3-seater sofa designed by Kazuhide Takahama and manufactured by Gavina during 1970s. It features a shaped polyurethane structure with polished aluminum brackets. The sofa has been reupholstered in a beautiful and high quality green / yellow mustard bouclè. The Marcel collection, a seating system developed in 1965, was a tribute by Dino Gavina to Marcel Duchamp. The sofa remains in excellent condition it is sturdy and comfortable the seating and of the backrest foam has been partially replaced. Labeled by the producer. This stylish and minimalist Italian design vintage sofà is ready to furnish your home, studio or shop!

About the designer
Kazuhide TAKAHAMA
Kazuhide Takahama was a Japanese designer who was born in Tokyo in 1930 and died in 2010. He studied architecture at Tokyo University before working for his father's design company, Takahama Industry Corporation. In 1955, he moved to Milan, where he began working for the Italian design firm Gavina.
