About this vintage design furniture

This sofa was designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1971. He devoted 26 years of his life to heading the design department of Ligne Roset. The Marsala is one of his first models using the new materials of the time, such as thermoformed plastic. It is composed of a brown plexiglass structure, three cushions and two armrests also upholstered in brown leather. A Ligne Roset pin is present on one of the cushions. The underside of the cushions is ciglé Ligne Roset. The seat buttons are attached to the shell. The model has been reupholstered. Foam: polyurethane.leather: brown. Semi-aniline leatherSemi-aniline leather is a high quality tanned hide immersed in a vegetable bath. The dye penetrates deep into the leather but does not color it. It forms a very thin protective layer that maintains the natural look and feel of the hide. Semi-aniline leather has an additional treatment that makes it more resistant than aniline leather. It has a better resistance to light and breathes better. Reference : 245877
