About this vintage design furniture

A stunning set of six classic dining chairs by the master designer Hans J. Wegner and produced by Carl Hansen & Son in the 1960s.. Manufacturer’s label preserved. The Wishbone - official name, CH24 - is one of the most recognizable seats in the world. It has been in continuous production by Carl Hansen & Son since its 1950 debut. The presented chairs, as the first models, are made of original bent oak and natural seat, with the sturdiness of the paper cord (120 m of it per chair). That’s what makes the Wishbone both long-lasting and blessedly comfortable without needing a cushion. Y-shaped back allows the back and armrest to function as a single piece lending the chair an effect of weightlessness. The wooden frames are in good original condition with slight patina, showing its age and a few marks on the original paper cord seats. Wonderful choice for real DMCM collectors.
