About this vintage design furniture
Large stoneware table lamp with ceramic glaze in various shades of gray, turquoise, blue and brown. Designed by Einar Johansen in the 1960s for Søholm, Denmark. Signed by the designer and the manufacturer. Very good condition.Shade with small signs of wear, made by Le Klint.Height: 75 cm with shade, height to socket 45 cm.Diameter: 21.5 cmShade height 31.5 cm, slightly conical shape, diameter top 32 and bottom 36 cm.Light source: edison E27 screw fitting, max 60 watt.Einar Johansen studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. He worked in New York and after his return to Denmark he had his own ceramic studio from 1935 to 1958. In the period 1958-68 he designed some of Søholm's best known series.
