Shiro Kuramata (1931-1991) created a fluid exchange between Japanese design philosophy and methodology and European postmodern design.

About the designer
Shiro KURAMATA
Shiro Kuramata (1934-1991) was a Japanese designer known for his innovative work in furniture and interior architecture. Born in Tokyo, Kuramata studied at the Musashino School of Fine Arts before working as an industrial designer at Teikoku Mokei, an architectural modeling company.
