Vintage dining set model Savonarole by Maison Jansen, France 1960

Superb and rare living room set from Maison Jansen, an illustrious French interior design firm with a great international reputation. Known for its luxurious models, the House of Jansen published the Savonarole collection in the 1960s.Iconic in the pure neoclassical style, this set consists of a round table with a quadripod base and 4 elegant and decorative chairs.The table is composed of a circular top made of 14mm transparent glass, allowing to observe an important structure in chromed steel. A flat and round belt is maintained by 4 legs with curved forms joining in the center by 4 spacers decorated in the center with brass rings. Each foot ends with a gilded brass glide. The four refined chairs, reminiscent of curved seats, have a curved back accompanied by small bronze knobs in the upper part. The seat, equipped with chromed steel blades without deformation, is furnished with a removable cushion of ivory tone, decorated with beads in its perimeter and a pad in the center.The chairs, heavy and robust, have however an airy and harmonious design.Of beautiful quality of manufacture and in perfect condition, you will be inevitably seduced by this exceptional set which will decorate as well a traditional as a contemporary interior.
