About this vintage design furniture
The Royal System modular system was designed in 1948 by the Danish designer Poul Cadovius. It was one of the first hanging furniture systems in the world, and and the idea that furniture should not use floor space was innovative. This system was produced by the company France & Son which will become Cado later. The Royal System was also produced under license in more than 30 countries and is considered one of the most successful products in the history of Danish furniture. of Danish furniture. It consists of wooden rails fixed to the wall, shelves with brass or stainless steel hooks and various modules such as cabinets, drawers, desks, display cabinets... which can be customized in several individual combinations. Poul Cadovius said that the original system had 16 million possible combinations. These shelves are still a reference in the design world today for their innovative approach.
