Large Saint Clement earthenware fruit bowl, signed Béatrice Letalle , circa 1940 Round green glazed earthenware model with gilding. Signed and numbered on the reverse. In very good condition, some wear to the gilding. St-Clément was founded in 1758 by Jacques Chambrette, the first owner of the Lunéville faience factory. Located 12 km from Lunéville, the two factories are on different segments. The Saint-Clément faience factory produced prestigious, high-end pieces, which earned it the title of official supplier to Marie-Antoinette's Trianon. Its naturalist barbotine earthenware is still in the catalog of the Lunéville faience factories.
