About this vintage design furniture
Description: We imported this charming dining table from Denmark. This fantastic dining table Model 2059 'drop leaf' was designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard for France & Søn. Made of solid teak, it features two drop leaves, brass ball hinges and a door-like base. Look closely at the sublime, sculptural shape of the legs. Stamped with the manufacturer's mark. Made in the mid-twentieth century, circa 1960, this table features a distinctly Scandinavian design with its sleek form, minimalist design, and rich, clean teak grain. Denmark is known for its beautifully designed mid-century furniture. The piece features beautiful teak grain, warm tones and rich colors. Item reference: Condition: We have carefully stripped this dining table and professionally restored it by hand using traditional French polishing methods. The table has been finished with a heat resistant polishing button. We try to capture the condition of our items in our photographs as best as possible. Before shipping, all items are thoroughly cleaned and re-coated with Danish oil to ensure that your item is in tip-top shape upon delivery. This item is in good condition and has no defects.
