About this vintage design furniture
EA116 Soft Pad Herman Miller armchair designed by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1958. This Eames armchair comes from Herman Miller’s well-known aluminium series and was made in the 1970s. A very comfortable armchair due to the soft pad cushions. Special because of the black armrests, 1st version chassis and the original soft pad seat cushions (usually it is hopsak upholstery without cushions). The condition is still very good with normal traces of use and wear; the filling in the cushions (the foam) has been renewed. A small repair has been carried out on the chassis (see photos). The dimensions are h x w x d 90 x 62 x 70 cm, and the seat height is 48 cm. Colour: blue, wat and silver colour. Source: Book chairs Delft university press, page 187.
