Vintage floor lamp model 8 by Ingelise Kofoed for Fog and Morup, Denmark 1960

Very rare floor lamp with a wonderful, bold, graphic design by Danish artist Ingelise Kofoed. The lamp was produced by AluminiaRoyal Copenhagen in collaboration with the Danish lamp manufacturer Fog and Mørup. Ingelise Kofoed designed the Royal and consists of a small table lamp, a medium table lamp and a floor lamp. The floor lamp has the model number. E 7168 and is called Royal 7. It is part of the famous Tenera series produced by Royal Copenhagen Aluminia. Marked on the bottom (see photo) European plug. The Tenera series was designed by Nils Thorsson in the 1960s, when he was art director of Royal Copenhagen-Aluminia. Tenera started around 1958 and ran for many years. Thorsson designed most of the shapes in this line, and the group of artists and designers under his direction each designed their own patterns. This group of artists and designers included Ingelise Kofoed, Berte Jessen, Marianne Johnson, Ellen Malmer, Kari Christensen, Beth Breyen and Grete Helland-Hansen, Johanna Gerber, Anne Marie Trolle and Ivan Weiss. The Tenera series coins are marked with two sets of numbers on the countermark. The number on the top line is the design number, and the bottom number is the shape number.There is also the Aluminia or Royal Copenhagen logo with the 3 waves and the initials of the painter. Aluminia was a Danish pottery, established in Copenhagen in 1863. In 1882, the owners of Aluminia bought the porcelain factory Royal Copenhagen. The factories operated independently under their respective trade names until 1969, when the use of the Aluminia name ended. Since then, the products have been sold under the Royal Copenhagen brand.
