About this vintage design furniture

From a broken fragment of a shell, smoothed by the waves, Patricia Urquiola designs a collection of seats designed for the home and public spaces. The Scandinavian influence, evoked by the name itself, is in the reference to Arne Jacobsen and in the presence of an elongated cut, a metaphor for the inlets of the Nordic coasts. As in a natural cycle, the armchair shell, re-generated by time and water, becomes an armchair and then again a stool. The broken shape, from an abstract concept, turns into a design object: sweet lines that support and welcome, highlighted by the accuracy of the visible stitching in continuous harmony with the essentiality of the structure. Swivel armchair in fire retardant cold foamed foam with internal steel structure. Square base in powder coated steel.
