Vintage sofa in kvadrat fabric by Johannes Andersen for Ab Trensums, 1950s

This is a stunning piece of a famous Danish designer Johannes Andersen. Beautifully sculpted wooden base and softly shaped seating combined perfectly. It is one of the earlier projects of Mr Andersen and one can already observe individual design features characteristic to his style that has flourished in the later Capri series. This piece is after renovation – wooden frame was cleaned and refinished with oil. The seating was reupholstered with high-quality fabric from best Danish brand Kvadrat (100 new wool) - Tonica2 in color shade no. 0672. This particular design is extremely rare to be found nowadays.
