Set of 4 vintage dining chairs in Kvadrat fabric by Oswald Haerdtl, 1950s
About this vintage design furniture
This set of four vintage dining chairs was designed by Oswald Haerdtl in the 1950s, famous Austrian designer – together with Mr. Josef Hoffmann he designed the cafe terrace at the Vienna Werkbund Exhibition of 1930, where they designed every little detail from interiors to even cutlery. The chairs are very light in form and comfortable in use. The chairs have been completely restored finished in natural oil that protects the wood and gives it a natural and warm finishing touch. This set has been reupholstered in high-quality fabric from Kvadrat’s latest collection – SISU (91 new Norwegian wool 8 new New Zealand wool 1 nylon). Sisu is a checked upholstery designed by the celebrated designer Nanna Ditzel. The textile is woven with thick, voluminous woollen yarns and features a bold yet subtle, checked pattern.
