About this vintage design furniture
Sofa bed in oak summer veneer Pierre Paulin 1960, structure underneath in metal and spring for more comfort. Very good condition, no stains on original fabric. 1 small light crack (photo). the two cushions of the backrest rest on the sides to make an extra bed. Pierre Paulin (1927-2009) French designer. He is known for his modern spirit and the alliance he was able to create between rigor and organic. He drew his inspiration and influences by studying Scandinavian furniture, Japanese style and the work of the Eames couple. The furniture he has created is characterized by true simplicity, functionality and durability. His seats molded in jersey are references as evidenced by the success of the armchairs Ribbon (1966) and Mushroom (1963) but also the Amphis sofa (1969).
