About this vintage design furniture
Baca fajanceceramic vase designed by Nils Thorsson (1989-1975) and produced from 1965 at Royal Copenhagen, Denmark. Complexed and detailed patterns which in creation from Scandinavia have become Mid Century iconic fajance. The glaze is matte and special in that the colors blew up during firing. This is why the Baca series has a characteristic light relief surface. Stamped with Nils Thorssons’ signature and the mark of Royal Copenhagen. Fine vintage condition. Nils THORSSON
Nils Thorsson (1898-1975) was a Danish designer, known for his work in the ceramics industry. He worked for the Royal Copenhagen company for over 60 years, where he designed numerous models of ceramic tableware and figurines.
