About this vintage design furniture

Platone folding writing table, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1970, with frame in chromium-plated tubular steel and joints in die-cast aluminium alloy. The top is made of black rigid polyurethane. Platone is part of the permanent design collection of MoMA - Museum of Modern Art - in New York. The desk is in good condition, it has scratches on the surface of the top, spots and dots of rust on the chrome parts, the plastic feet are missing. Note that the scratches have been highlighted in photos, in reality they are less evident.
