About this vintage design furniture
This is a beautiful and rarely seen set of 6, ’Lilyseagull chair’ by Arne Jacobsen, model 3108. The chair is made of white lacquered wood and is original red but has been painted white (professionally) years ago. You will find some small cracks in the lacquer, but nothing that interferes with your eyes or looks damaged, some would call it patina. The back is very hard and it no rust on the frame. Overall in great vintage condition. Seat height 43cm. These chairs were designed in 1968 for the National Bank of Denmark. Later put into mass production in 1970. Arne Jacobsen died in 1971 so this is one of his last work. The model with armrest is 3208, the one without is 3108. They were produced only for 6 years, 1970-76. FH relaunched them in 2009.
