About this vintage design furniture
Handcrafted bowl or ashtray designed by Jozef Hospodka for Chribska Sklarna in the mid-1960s. Hand-formed crystal glass, colored throughout, two-tone blue on top, light orange on bottom. An interestingly shaped bowl, a classic of Czechoslovakian organic design. About the designer
Josef HOSPODKA
Josef Michal Hospodka was a Czech designer who was born in 1923 and died in 1989. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Prague, where he began working as a teacher after graduating.
