About this vintage design furniture
The X-Line side dining chair is a design by Niels Jørgen Haugesen, manufactured by Hybodan in Denmark around 1980. It has a thin, chrome plated metal base with an X-shaped structure that gives the chairs their highly reconigzable style The seat and back are made of grey metal with many small square perforations that adds nicely to their appeal. The chairs are also easily stackable The original manufacturer’s label is attached to the frame, as shown in photos. Each piece remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. SOLD INDIVIDUALLY – THE PRICE IS PER PIECE. Niels Jorgen HAUGESEN
Niels Jorgen Haugesen was a Danish designer who was born in 1938 and died in 1993. He studied at the Royal Danish School of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, where he taught from 1969 to 1989.
