About this vintage design furniture

The glass bowl or ashtray was designed by Josef Hospodka for Chribska Sklarna in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The bowl, which can also function as an ashtray, was made of mass-dyed and hand-formed crystal glass. The object is colored in orange fading into transparency, the whole is slightly opalescent. Good condition, slight (point) damage to the edge of the item. Josef HOSPODKA

Josef Michal Hospodka was a Czech designer who was born in 1923 and died in 1989. He studied at the School of Applied Arts in Prague, where he began working as a teacher after graduating.
