About this vintage design furniture
Ruud Jan Kokke. 1st edition slat chairs 1986 - These are early editions were made by furniture makers Hubers as he could not find manufacturer that was interested due to the design being so complicated and expensive to produce. The first series were therefore only produced in very small numbers making them quite rare (later editions were manufactured by Metaform or ‘t Spectrum). Black lacquered oak wood frame with inlaid ash wood slats. Having been treated well by previous owners, they are all in good condition with only minimal signs of age and wear.

About the designer
Ruud Jan KOKKE
Ruud Jan Kokke is an internationally renowned Dutch designer, born in 1958 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, graduating in design in 1986.
