About this vintage design furniture

Space Age kinetic suspension in aluminum, designed by Henri Mathieu and produced by Lyfa. Henri Mathieu, Verner Panton, Louis Weisdorf among others, have explored this principle of sculptural lighting made of brushed aluminum strips pierced by a central axis and deployed around it. Reference to marine fauna (conchs) or space (phases of the moon) this suspension with the appearance of a UFO is iconic and diffuses a unique source of light. Its interior is rented in white-cream. 2 E27 bulbs to screw. Warm, colored or cold light bulbs: the choice is yours Diameter: 40 cm - Circumference 125 cm - Total height: 45 cm - Height without the central stem: 26 cm - Height of the stem: 19 cm. Very good condition with some traces of time here and there. It is complete (including the central rod and the aluminum cover).

Henri MATHIEU

Henri Mathieu was a French designer who was born in 1907 and died in 1976. He was one of the leading exponents of the industrial design movement in France in the 1950s and 1960s.
