About this vintage design furniture
A stackable set including six pressed glass ashtrays. Brass frame marked WMF by Wilhelm Wagenfeld from the 1950's.Turmalin collection produced by WMF (Würtenbergische Metallwaren Fabrik), from the years 1951-1959.Curvy but rational design with a very modern look. You can feel the philosophy of the Bauhaus.some minor defects on 4 ashtrays but it is rare to find this set complete and in very good condition. Wilhelm Wagenfeld is an important German industrial designer and former student of the Bauhaus school. He worked for several German companies (Rosenthal, Braun, WMF...). Dimensions: H. 14 cm, D. 9 cm, W .8 cm. ashtray: H. 3 cm, D. 9 cm, W .7 cm.

1900 - 1990Wilhelm Wagenfeld was a German industrial designer who was born on April 15, 1900 in Bremen and died on May 28, 1990 in Stuttgart. He is best known for his collaborations with the Jenaer Glaswerk Schott & Genossen glassworks and for his functional, minimalist design.
