About this vintage design furniture
The Cylinder IV is one of Hammerborgs masterpieces. A perfect pendant light to hang over a long dining table or a counter. The light was created by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1966, in the same period as his famous Trombone-series. Both timeless aluminium designs that share a sophisticated light distribution with sculptural allure. The quartet of smooth cylinders is held together by lacquered wooden beams, a simple construction that demonstrates how beautiful and enlightening pure logic can be. "Cylinder" was made as a single, double, tripple and then this one with four lights. It was also made in brass, copper and silver colored aluminum, this being the silver version. Good vintage condition with some scratches to the aluminum surface as seen in the last image. No bends or dents. This light takes four standard E27 light bulbs. The height of this pendant light can easily be adjusted by extending or shortening the cables.
