About this vintage design furniture

This popular and well-known wingback chair attributed to the Czech designer Miroslav Navrátil. This chair was designed in the context of the world-renowned exhibition EXPO in Brussels in 1958, where the Czechoslovak pavillon was a phenomenal succes. Glass laminate frame covered with latex foam and woven textile. Wooden legs fixed in place with a cross wire. Acclaimed at the 12th Triennale di Milano in 1960. The chair is generally in good original condition, the fabric shows signs of wear and age If you are interested we can provide reupholstery of the chair. Dimensions: Height: 84 cm, width: 61 cm, depth 66 cm. Seat height: 33 cm

Miroslav Navratil is a Czech industrial designer born in 1952 in Prague. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in 1978, where he studied product design.
