About this vintage design furniture
Beautiful set of ten green lacquered chairs made by the House of Jansen in the 1940s, typical of the Asian revival of the early 20th century. The English Queen Anne style chairs were made of hardwood with a Japanese finish. Decorated with hand-painted Asian scenes and gilded on each back, each one is different. The frames and legs are decorated with floral and foliage motifs. The seats have been completely restored and reupholstered with a woolen loop fabric from Lelièvre Paris - Reference Lama.
