About this vintage design furniture
Mid-Century Modern swivel lounge chair designed by Geoffrey Harcourt in 1968 for famous Dutch furniture It was produced by Artifort starting in 2006. In 1962 British designer Geoffrey Harcourt (1935) joined the Artifort team, and developed the luxury ‘F-series’ lounge chairs in the late 1960s. This chair is Model No.- F978 Originally marked under seating and metal base. Easy lounge chair has a white metal base and original pink leather seatings still in a good vintage condition. The base is in white glossy aluminum. The F978 is characterized by its simple, charismatic and austere appearance. The aluminum base and the polyurethane shell are influenced from the Space Age trend in design and fashion during the late 60s while the leather seat adds a more classical and elegant touch. The "Tulip" Ottoman was designed by Pierre Paulin in 1960’s period for Artifort. The Ottoman has a metal base and a same matching pink colour fabric. Originally marked. Measurements of ottoman: W-68 D-41 H-45cm. Design and comfort lounge set.
