Vintage velvet living room set by Paged, 1972

This extremely rare sofa set was created by the Polish company Paged in 1972. The furniture was produced in cooperation with the Arab Republic of Egypt. This set consists of a sofa and two armchairs. The form of the objects is characterized by strong elements of the design ideas of the most prominent architects of the mid-century modern era. The organic and round forms recall the designs of the Danish and Italian masters of the furniture design school. The light, rounded line of the sofa is broken up by the sloping sides. The shape of the armchairs resembles an open shell. This set has been restored and upholstered in high quality velvet in shades of powder pink and burgundy. The seat cushions are additionally reinforced with strong, durable foam. The items have been restored in accordance with the art of tapestry and the aesthetics of the production period. Photographic documentation of the items prior to renovation is available upon request. The legs are in original condition, in solid wood of dark brown color and finished with brass details. This set is original and exceptional, and an object of this class placed inside becomes the focal point of any arrangement.
