About this vintage design furniture
A rare lounge chair designed by Wim van Gelderen, model “Sliedrecht”, manufactured by Spectrum in the Netherlands around 1950. This wonderful chair is mad of high quality plywood in a nice light brown colour. The slightly backwards tilted seat and straight shapes of the frame all add nicely to it’s great style and comfort This is a rare piece of mid-century Dutch design that will make a fantastic addition to the decor. Seat and back upholstered in vintage red fabric. The natural colour difference in the wood adds really nicely to it’s unique style and is a beautiful sign of quality and eye for detail It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
