About this vintage design furniture
Living room model Marsala by Michel Ducaroy published by Ligne Roset vintage 1970'S (French designer. Born in Lyon in 1925, after graduating from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts (sculpture section) in his native city, he joined the family business. In 1954, he joined the Roset chair manufacturer in Briord (Ain), where he managed the design department throughout his career, taking advantage of the new materials of the 1960s and 1970s (foam, wadding, thermoformed plastic). He produced very successful chairs, such as Adria (1968), the first composable lounge with a seat close to the floor. Kashima, Koufra, Safi or Kali followed, then Togo and Marsala. Died in 2009) Composed of 2 armchairs and 1 ottoman, brown Altuglass shells covered with mustard-colored corduroy. Scratches from use on Altuglass. Good condition of the velvet.
