Minimalist vintage coffee table by Coen De Vries for Tetex, Netherlands 1950
About this vintage design furniture
An elegant, minimalist coffee table with a low shelf designed by Dutch industrial designer Coen De Vries. Throughout his career, he designed solid, streamlined furniture, always striving for simplicity and functionality. Most of Coen De Vries' designs were produced in small batches, which is why his furniture is considered a rarity today. The coffee table consists of a black lacquered metal frame, a glass top and a wooden shelf, perfect for storing small items such as newspapers and magazines. In good authentic condition, with visible signs of wear consistent with age and use. The glass top has some scratches and two small holes, used in a production process to hang the glass for drying. Made by Tetex in the 1950s.
