About this vintage design furniture
Coral red Murano glass vase with bulbous body by the Italian company EOS. It is marked on the bottom "EOS Lds" and was designed by Ludovico de Santillana. Dimensions: Height: 22,5cm Diameter: 30,5cm In excellent original condition. Signed and labelled. Ludovico Diaz de Santillana was born in 1931 in Rome. He was married to Anna Venini. After Paolo Venini’s death in 1960, Ludovico de Santillana took over the artistic direction of the family-owned manufacture. He founded the company EOS in 1986 with his two children Laura and Alessandro and it closed in 1993. This short period of manufacture means EOS pieces will become rarer editions of art glass by de Santillana family.
