Vintage space age chandelier with glass shade, 1970

This spectacular Italian space-age six-light chandelier comes from Italy and dates from the 1970s. It features six shade-colored Murano glass shades attached by chrome rings mounted on double arms extending from the central core. The structure is made of high quality chrome-plated steel and the six lights are covered with hand-blown "Lattimo" Murano glass shades in clear, milky white. Lattimo" is a special treatment of glass, and the term comes from the Italian word "latte" or "milk". Large chrome structures with clear and white glass create the remarkable effect of light floating in the mist. The lamp is in very good vintage condition with minor age marks on the steel.
