About this vintage design furniture

Coat Tree hanger consisting of eight arms of bent steel ending in synthetic balls. The design dates back to 1971. Coat Tree was designed by Sidse Werner for the Danish company Fritz Hansen. The designer was inspired by a map of subway lines. The unusual form of the hanger does not take away its functionality. On the contrary, it is extremely practical and comfortable during everyday use, and at the same time looks exceptionally attractive. The light and fragile appearance hides the paradoxical fact that it is also one of the most solid and practical hangers in the world: you can hang a surprisingly large number of thick coats on it. The Tree Coat is nowadays considered a classic of wearable art, even though decades have passed since it appeared on the market. The hanger is in original condition.
