About this vintage design furniture
Large Murano Sommerso teardrop glass vase designed by Flavio Poli and produced by Seguso Vetri d’Arte Murano (Italy) in the 1960s. "Sommerso" is a technique developed in Murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-60s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer. Colours: green, yellow and clear. Height - 27 cm; depth - 8 cm; width - 8 cm. Very good vintage condition, light wear consistent with age and use.

Flavio Poli (1900-1984) was a renowned Italian designer, known for his work in glass. Born in Chioggia, near Venice, Poli studied at the Institute of Applied Arts in Venice, where he developed a passion for blown glass.
