About this vintage design furniture
Plastic pendant light by Lars Schiøler for the Danish pioneer plastic lamp shade manufacturer Hoyrup. These were the very first plastic lamp shades that the company started to make in 1960. The shades are known as "pearl shades" and were later copied by several other producers. The shade is held together with golden metal rings on the top and bottom. Due to the somewhat fragile nature of the material very few of these lamps have survived. This is a large (40 cm wide) version and in great condition with very little signs of use as seen in the photos. Standard E27 light bulb socket.
