Smile Table The Danish Icon, Johannes Andersen, CFC, 'Smile' teak coffee table, Denmark, 1960s The 'Smile' coffee table, designed by Johannes Andersen in Denmark in 1957 and manufactured in the late 1950s and early 1960s by CFC Silkeborg. The coffee table has a magazine shelf below the deck and a 'smile' access slot molded into the table, hence the name.This rare classic is in very good vintage condition. Small scratches on the leaf give it just the right patina. See photos.
