About this vintage design furniture
A beautiful example of a model 884 'Long John' coffee table by E Gomme for G-Plan from the late 1950s in near perfect condition - unfortunately there are three stains on the top - almost certainly where the ornaments were placed on it in the past - please see the detailed photos. The price reflects this. That said, the honey-colored top has a rich natural luster and contrasts beautifully with the ebonized frame, polished brass caps and adjustable feet. Donald GOMME
Donald Gomme was a British designer born in 1908 and died in 1960. He founded G Plan Furniture in 1953 with his brother, and the brand quickly became one of the most popular furniture brands in the UK.
