Vintage Softpad leather lounge chair & ottoman by Eames

This is a lovely patinated brown original tilting and swivelling lounge chair version of the soft pad with it’s original ottoman, both were bought new on December 12th 1985, maybe an early Christmas present This version has an adjustable tilt mechanism which alters the amount of pressure needed to tilt the chair into a more reclined position, therefore suited to the size of the occupent. This particular example is a very nice brown colour and the Aluminium arms have a clear coating on them as specified by Eames so that the arms do not feel cold when one rests an arm on them, many newer ones have a chrome finish and no lacquer so they do feel colder. The dimensions listed are for the chair only and measured with the chair in the upright position. The ottoman is 48 cm highx 52 cm deep x 79 cm wide. Price is for both the chair and the ottoman
