About this vintage design furniture
This is a very nice early example of this ubiquitous design lounge chair. Originally designed for Billy Wilder, the movie director in 1956, and after much admiration was then put into production by Herman Miller. This particular example was produced between 1960 and 1970, as it has original part feather part foam filled cushions, which give it the comfort and classic "sat on" look and feel The dimensions given are for the chair alone, Ottoman is 66 cm wide, 55 cm deep, 44 cm high, and came with the chair when new in Circa 1965. Fortunately this on is veneered in Santos Rosewood which does not need any CITES paperwork for import or export
