Vintage "Heron" armchair with ottoman by Ernest Race for Race Furniture, United Kingdom 1950

A fantastic set of lounge chair and foot stool, model “The Heron”, designed by Ernest Race and manufactured by Race Furniture around 1950. This appealing set has a wonderful modern style. The chair excels in comfort, with a backwards tilted seat and extra head pillow. The chair and stool have matching black lacquered metal legs. They are both upholstered in high quality green velvet that is soft to the touch.
