About this vintage design furniture

Hanging lamp Danish Design Replica of the artichoke hanging lamp Design From Poul Henningsen, 1960 Poul Henningsen designed the Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke pendant lamp more than 40 years ago. It is considered a classic masterpiece. The original design consists of a structure of 12 arches on which the 72 blades are arranged in circular rows with 6 blades in each row. Because each row is offset from the previous row, all 72 blades can "protect each other". This design makes it possible to view the PH Artichoke from any angle without being able to see the light source. These original PH Artichoke fixtures were developed for a restaurant in Copenhagen, the Langelinie Pavilion, and they are still hanging there. The current version of the PH Artichoke offers a choice of colours, sizes and light sources, but all designed with the same goal of "not detracting from the original" Even with the energy-efficient LED variant, the quality of the light and atmosphere around the luminaire is kept at the highest level. This is a replica not an original.
