Set of 8 CH36’ and CH37 Dining Chairs by Hans Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn,Denmark. The CH36 dining chair by Hans J. Wegner is made with great attention to every detail in a simple and functional design. This 1962 design demonstrates the influence American Shaker furniture principles and craftsmanship had on Wegner’s work. These chairs are from the 1960s and all have new paper cord. The legs of the CH36 taper both towards the ground and the rear legs also taper slightly upwards, creating an elegant appearance. The backrest is significantly more curved at the top than at the bottom to optimize back support. The overall look is completed with the frame and seat hand-woven in durable paper cord. Two chairs have armrests - model number CH37 - for extra comfort and support. We only sell this large complete set as a whole because the colors are the same as they are all the same age.
