About this vintage design furniture
Lovely pair of mid-century red clear glass table lamps designed by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors Glass, Sweden, 1960s. Red crystal glass inner core surrounded by clear glass on the outside. Metal details on the top. The lamps are heavy with an elegant shape and conical design. Signed Orrefors and designer's name. Measures: 37.5 cmH (including bulb socket) x 9 cmW x 6.5 cmL. Very good vintage condition. Shades are not included. Carl Fagerlund (1915-2011) was a talented Swedish lighting designer working at Orrefors glassworks between 1946 and 1980. He had great success with lighting systems for General Motors and the Kennedy Center in the United States.

About the designer
Carl FAGERLUND
Carl Fagerlund (1915-2011) was a Swedish designer who worked mainly for the famous lighting design and manufacturing company, Orrefors Glassworks, in Sweden. He is best known for his glass lamp designs, which were very popular in the 1950s and 1960s.
