About this vintage design furniture
The “Blow” easy chair is an iconic piece of mid-century Italian design by famous designers Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino, Paolo Lomazzi and Carla Scolari, manufactured by Zanotta in Italy around 1960. The piece clearly owes the name to it’s inflatable structure. The chair was a success from the start and was considered an icon for the changing lifestyle at the time The idea of informal and flexible furniture and interiors were a brand new innovation at the time, making this piece a symbol for the spirit of the sixties Completely made of clear, welded plastic. This piece comes in the original box with original “certificate of authentic Italian collectors item” It remains in good, vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

About the designer
Jonathan DE PAS, Donato D'URBINO & Paolo LOMAZZI
The Italian design trio of De Pas, D'Urbino and Lomazzi were three close friends who met while studying at Milan's Polytechnic Institute in the 1960s.
