About this vintage design furniture
These are 1980’s editions of the famous “Argyle” chair manufactured in Italy, originally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The chairs have tall backrests with oval headrests. In the headrest, a swallow like shape has been carved as a nice stylish detail. The beige fabric seats of the pieces compliment it nicely The original design was made in commission for the furnishing of tea rooms. The chairs were designed to create a feeling of spatial seperation within a room. The highback design of the piece was made to provide a more intimate dining experience. These chairs can still be used for this purpose when purchased together, or can be perfectly used as a side or hall chair Each piece remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Sold individually. Please check the stock info above.
