About this vintage design furniture
Rare yellow Panama wall lamp model no. 4050 by Wim Rietveld for Gispen in 1956. The lamp has three hinges, to put it in different positions (with the red key, attached to the wall plate). The hood is yellow and has the shape of a sun hat and is therefore also called a Panama hat. This wall lamp is still in original and good condition with normal traces of use; small dents in the shade and small scratches. This lamp has been fully checked and the wiring has also been checked by an electrician and is ready for use. The back plate of the wall plate is missing, but it is not necessary to hang the wall lamp. The red adjustment key is present and a new plastic diffuser cap. Dimensions (adjustable): h x w x hood diameter 60 x 110 x 40.5 cm. This lamp is part of the collection of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Source: book collection Gispen, NAI publishers, page 123 and Gispen catalog Giso lamps no. 37 (1957).
