Mid-century extending dining table & 4 dining chairs by Schreiber, 1970s

Founded in 1957 by Chaim Schreiber, Schreiber furniture is an interesting British success story. The Company was one of the biggest names in furniture in the 70s, rivalling G Plan E Gomme and other famous names. In 1973 they added fitted kitchen to their range, and created 280 Schreiber Furniture Centre shops throughout UK. This is a rare example of a complete Schreiber dining set. It is distinctively Schreiber style. Formica finish, rounded corners on the table, tapered chair frame with curved back rest. Original black leatherette upholster. Table size Width fully extended 168cm Width unextended 122cm Depth 86cm Height 74.5cm Chair size Width 46cm Depth 48cm Height 75cm Seat height 46cm Excellent mid century condition.
