About this vintage design furniture
Mid-century modern spherical fireplace made of heavy steel by Dries Kreijkamp, Netherlands, 1960s. This mid-century modern fireplace can rotate 360 degrees and has a sliding door that prevents coals or wood from falling out. The fireplace has a drawer at the bottom to collect the ashes in an easy way. It has been repainted with a special heat resistant paint in anthracite color and is in perfect condition. Kreijkamp was a Dutch artist with an obsession for natural forms. He is best known for the spherical houses he designed in 1965. The diameter of the sphere is 63 cm. The base is 60 x 60 x 6cm. The total height is 85cm. Note that this is a used fireplace.
